Channel 4 Leeds

Ivegate were appointed to design, supply, install and commission all M&E services for the new Nation UK Headquarters of Channel 4.

Services provided include VRF Heating and Cooling, Ventilation, Electrical, Fire & Security, Lighting, Emergency Lighting, Access Control and BMS to the prestigious project in the iconic Majestic building in Leeds City Centre.

This fit out was post tenant occupation to the specific requirements of Channel 4. The entire design was undertaken including full thermal model, BREEAM compliance and SKA Gold. One of the biggest challenges was working within the confines of the existing building and landlord equipment to locate the new plant. Logistics were a serious consideration with a night time road closure being required to enable the installation of roof mounted plant. All deliveries had to be ‘just in time’ with minimal waste due to the site having no main skippage due to the prominent city centre location.

The project was delivered on time, within budget and to incredibly high standards that are expected for such a flagship project.
